Canada strives to attract highly skilled immigrants who want to and are able to successfully integrate into the professional and social spheres of the country. With this goal in mind, Canadian immigration law outlines certain desirable occupations under the Skilled Worker class.
There are three ways to immigrate under the Skilled Worker category:
- An arranged employment offer with a Canadian company, approved by the immigration authorities
- For students or temporary workers legally residing in Canada for a period of at least one year
- For specialists with at least one year of full-time work experience in a profession corresponding to the list of occupations outlined by the government of Canada

Candidates under this category must fulfil a number of preset requirements, such as age, education, language proficiency, etc. Compliance with these requirements is evaluated using a points system; currently, the minimum passing score is 67 out of 100.
A number of our clients have trouble classifying their occupations. Is your profession on the list of occupations identified by the government of Canada? We know how to correctly classify your profession and ensure that you meet the requirements set out by the authorities.
